What Conservation Management looks like
We work on projects driven by Biodiversity Net Gain or Woodland Carbon Code objectives, as well as projects designed to enhance protected or highly valued areas such as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs), Ancient Woodlands or Temperate Rainforests. Our thorough knowledge of grants and regulations and landscape designations can be an asset to your project, in both the planning and implementation stages. These schemes are often implemented over several years, and we’re familiar with the methodology.
We can work with you to support creation or restoration of woodland of any size, from small, focussed schemes to landscape-scale projects. Our Mapping & Aerial Survey service can support your planning process with detailed site assessments, using drones and GPS mapping.
Typical projects for us
We have experience working on a variety of conservation schemes, including:
- Objectives of Biodiversity Net Gain, Woodland Carbon Code, SSSI woodland management, natural capital maximisation, carbon credits generation, and carbon sequestration
- Creation, restoration or management of woodlands, including ancient woodlands and temperate rainforests
- Work to support biodiversity of flora and fauna species, including habitat creation and restoration
- Working with multiple stakeholders, including green finance and investor-funded schemes, including successfully integrating trees into broader development schemes
